On September 26 (local time), US media outlet Billboard published an article titled “Here’s Why Fans Think LISA of BLACKPINK & Sabrina Carpenter Are Collaborating”.
Particularly, the news site pointed out that after Lisa’s recent TikTok update, some fans are suspecting that the female idol will be collaborating with Sabrina Carpenter due to several details.
In the aforementioned TikTok. Lisa can be seen singing the lyrics “so kiss me” while holding a microphone, at the same time blowing a kiss into the camera. Meanwhile, the music in the video was a remix of Sixpence None the Richer’s iconic hit “Kiss Me”.
According to fans, Lisa was donning a frilly pink crop top and skirt, which match with Sabrina Carpenter’s girly aesthetic.
In addition, Lisa also captioned the video with 3 emojis “🌙🎤💋” (a crescent moon, a microphone, and lips). Fans believed that the moon is referencing Carpenter’s space-themed performance at the 2024 VMAs, while the lips represent the lipstick kiss iconic from Sabrina Carpenter’s “Short n’ Sweet” era.
As a result, comments such as “LISA X SABRINA CARPENTER?” and “YES PLEAAAASEEE” can be seen under Lisa’s TikTok video.
However, while Billboard has reached out to Lisa and Carpenter for comments, nothing has been confirmed so far.
